With 14,000 employees, Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust provides NHS hospital services for 900,000 people in Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, and South Buckinghamshire.
Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust delivers services from three main hospital sites: Wexham Park Hospital in Slough, Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot, and Frimley Park Hospital near Camberley. In addition, we deliver outpatient and diagnostic services from Bracknell, Aldershot, Farnham, Fleet, Windsor and Maidenhead, bringing services closer to our communities and supporting more care outside the traditional acute setting.
With around 14,000 employees, Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust provides NHS hospital services for approximately 900,000 people in Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and South Buckinghamshire, and delivers a range of specialist acute consultant-delivered services to a wider population.
We were a key partner in the Frimley Health and Care Integrated Care System and on 1 April 2026 we merged with NHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West (BOB) Integrated Care Board (ICB) to form the new NHS Thames Valley Integrated Care Board (ICB). This change follows a recent refresh of the Frimley Health and Care Integrated Care System (ICS) strategy and is part of national NHS reforms to support long-term sustainability and better alignment of services across regional health footprints.
The new NHS Thames Valley ICB will oversee planning and commissioning of services across a larger geography, with the aim of streamlining care pathways, improving efficiency and reducing health inequalities. Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust also operates across Surrey and Sussex and Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICBs to provide integrated care services and patient pathways across our catchment, aligned with national ICS priorities. Frimley Park Hospital remains part of the national New Hospital Programme, which is intended to address structural issues on the current site and support the development of modern healthcare facilities to meet future demand.
The Trust has strengthened its organisational structure through the introduction of a new four-division model, designed to support more integrated, clinically led care. All divisional leadership posts have now been successfully appointed. The divisions are: Urgent Care and Medicine; Surgery and 11 Theatres, Anaesthetics and Critical Care (STACC); Women’s, Children’s and Support Services; and Older People, Neurosciences and Integrated Care. The new structure came into effect in October 2025, with a phased transition to embed changes across services.
Our business model is to provide high-quality, consultant-led acute and specialist care, alongside integrated community services and diagnostics. This is supported by modern infrastructure, digital innovation and strong partnerships, enabling the Trust to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care.
A year at Frimley
Our partners
Frimley Health sits within three Integrated Care Boards. The ICBs work with us, other NHS trusts, local councils, and other partners to plan and fund healthcare across the area.
On 1 April 2026, a group of organisations became accountable for commissioning NHS services in the Frimley Health local area.
As part of this change, areas that were previously part of NHS Frimley were realigned. East Berkshire became part of Thames Valley ICB, North East Hampshire became part of Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB, and Surrey Heath and Farnham joined Surrey and Sussex ICB.
Although organisational boundaries changed, we continue to work closely with all our partners to ensure joined-up care for all local people.
Thames Valley Integrated Care Board (ICB)
NHS Thames Valley Integrated Care Board was established to plan and oversee health and care services for the 2.5 million people who live in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Their creation brings together the former NHS Frimley and NHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West (BOB) Integrated Care Boards into a single organisation with one shared vision for improving health across the Thames Valley.
NHS Thames Valley is responsible for making sure the region’s £5.6 billion health budget is used in the best possible way. Its role is to look at the needs of local communities, decide what services are needed and work with hospitals, GP practices, community services, councils and voluntary groups to make sure people get high quality, joined up care.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board (ICB)
Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB is a partnership of NHS and local government organisations working together to join up health and care services to improve the health and wellbeing of people in the communities we all serve.
Local health and care partners have a long history of working together and with our population, and are united in our vision to enable people in our communities to live healthier, longer lives.

Surrey and Sussex Integrated Care Board (ICB)
NHS Surrey and Sussex Integrated Care Board (ICB) is the statutory organisation responsible for buying and planning local health and care services for the three million people living across the counties of Surrey and Sussex.
The organisation was created on 1 April 2026 through the merger of NHS Surrey Heartlands and NHS Sussex, also incorporating the Surrey Heath, Farnham and Ash areas of Surrey which were previously part of NHS Frimley ICB.

Surrey Provider Collaborative
Frimley Health works with a range of NHS Provider Collaboratives to improve care, share expertise and make the best use of NHS resources. By working together, NHS organisations can develop services that are more consistent, sustainable and centred around people’s needs.
The Provider Collaborative consists of:

Together, we work on shared priorities including mental and physical healthcare, digital transformation, workforce, elective care and improving clinical pathways across Surrey.
